If the R4i Gold Plus card is old version, it need to be updated to latest firmware (latest version is R4i Gold Plus V2.3), then it can work on latest 3DS V6.2.0 and DSi V1.4.5 console. Please do step by step as below.
1. Download the latest R4i Gold Plus kernel (it is V3.0 version), and install it correctly into the MicroSD card.
2. Download the latest R4i Gold Plus V2.3 firmware to computer.
3. Unzip the patch, and put the "plus_firmware_softupdate_v2_3" file into the root of MicroSD card.
4. Find a DS or DSi console, insert the SD card into r4 card, and put r4 card into DS console.
5. Connect the DS console to AC power.
6. Turn on the DS console, open the R4 mainmenu, enter the MicroSD card, and find the update file "plus_firmware_softupdate_v2_3".
7. Choose the update file, and click "A" key to start upgrade process.
8. Wait about 20 seconds, upgrade process finish.
